Responsibilities

How do you keep the lights on in the Netherlands? As a Security Specialist, you are responsible for safeguarding information security within TenneT. You prevent damage from security incidents and identify risks that could affect our vital infrastructure. Your responsibilities include:

• Implementation of the information security plan: You translate policy into practical measures and ensure compliance with security standards such as ISO 27001 and IEC62443.
• Support during audits and incidents: You assist with internal and external audits and advise on security incidents and remediation actions.
• Risk analysis and advisory: You conduct risk assessments and advise IT/OT teams on mitigation and compliance.
• Collaboration and knowledge sharing: You work closely with GRC teams, auditors, and operations and act as a trusted advisor.

You will be part of the Security & Compliance team, within BTO. Together, you build a robust and secure IT/OT environment that supports the energy transition. The team fosters an open and collaborative work atmosphere, where innovation and reliability are key.

Additionally, You Have

• At least 5 years of experience in IT/OT security, preferably in a complex technical environment.
• A completed HBO or WO degree in IT, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• A recognized security certification such as CISM, CISSP, or equivalent (preferred).
• Knowledge of GDPR and DPIAs is a plus.
• Fluency in Dutch is required for this position, both written and spoken.

We Offer You

• A year contract with a one-month probation period.
• A salary in scale 8: €4.151 to €8.197 per month, with 8% holiday allowance, 6% year-end bonus, and 70% pension contribution.
• 43 vacation days per year (based on full-time employment).
