Job Role: Security Officer

Working Hours: Friday and Saturday, 18 30 - 11 hours per week

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Location: Trafford Golf Centre, Old Park Lane, Trafford Park, Manchester, M17 8PG

Reporting to: Contract Manager

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services, for an experienced Security Officer to join our established security team based at Trafford Golf Centre.

In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining a safe and secure environment for both visitors and staff. You will liaise confidently with members of the public and site management, while ensuring all records and reports are completed accurately in line with operational requirements. The role requires a visible and professional security presence, while maintaining an approachable attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Applicants must hold a valid SIA licence as a minimum, with previous security experience being essential.

Duties include:

• Protecting the client's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and site specific procedures
• Providing a visible door presence, greeting guests, and managing entry flow
• Distributing waiting buzzers (similar to a queuing system) and directing guests to the front desk and bays
• Conducting walking patrols of the bays to ensure behaviour standards are maintained, as well as collecting baskets and glasses
• Carrying out patrols of the well lit car park
• Locking gates and escorting staff during closing procedures
• Working alongside an in house full time security guard at all times
• Maintaining radio contact with the front desk

Requirements

• Full 5 year employment checkable history
• Valid frontline SIA licence
• Customer Service experience and confidence to handle conflict in a correct manner
• Flexible to meet the job requirements
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Smart appearance and be well groomed
• Reliable and punctual
• High level of enthusiasm and passion
• Ability to work in a fast moving environment
