The Role
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to provide effective support across the school. You may be supporting students in lessons, working with small groups or providing additional one-to-one assistance where required.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting teaching and learning across the secondary curriculum
Working with students individually and in small groups
Helping students remain engaged and focused during lessons
Supporting students with their academic, social and emotional development
Assisting teachers with classroom activities and resources
Promoting positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive learning environment
Building positive relationships with students and staff
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
Passionate about working with young people
Confident and enthusiastic in a classroom environment
Patient, approachable and supportive
Reliable and committed to working 5 days per week
Able to build positive relationships with students
Previous experience working in a school or with young people is desirable, but not essential
