Secondary Teaching Assistant

Yorkshire and Humber/ contract / £90 - 105 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School in Leeds who are looking to appoint a Secondary Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and academic abilities.

The school is looking for an enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to provide day-to-day cover with an Immediate Start. The successful Secondary Teaching Assistant will support students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, assisting with classroom activities and providing individual and small-group support to help students remain engaged with their learning.

The successful Secondary Teaching Assistant will have:

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
• Experience supporting students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Experience working with secondary-aged students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good classroom and behaviour management skills
• A patient, flexible and adaptable approach
