Secondary Design & Technology (D&T) Teacher. Start: ASAP. Contract: Full-time.
Milk Education are seeking a skilled, creative, and resilient Design & Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking department in a Secondary school in South Yorkshire. The role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 D&T, delivering both practical and theory-based lessons across relevant specialisms (such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering). This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality Design & Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
- Ensure a safe and well-managed workshop environment, adhering to health and safety requirements
- Inspire creativity, problem-solving, and independent thinking
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to support learning
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and student outcomes
- Uphold the values and standards of Milk Education and our partner schools
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Specialism in Design & Technology - able to teach KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom and workshop management skills
- Sound knowledge of health and safety procedures within a D&T setting
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education)
