Secondary Cover Supervisor

Overview

Location: Secondary Schools - Cardiff. Daily rate: From £100+ per day. Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Contract: Flexible, Term-Time Only. Hoop Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Cardiff. You don't need to be a qualified teacher - just confident, calm, and ready to lead a classroom.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set work in the absence of the class teacher
• Maintain a focused, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment
• Support pupils with tasks, answer questions, and encourage engagement
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure pupil safety
• Collect completed work and provide feedback to school staff
• Act as a positive role model for students

What You'll Need

• At least 6 months' experience working with children or vulnerable adults
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• EWC registration (or willingness to register)
• A calm, organised approach with strong communication skills
• A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed
