Full-Time Cover Supervisor Basildon Temp-to-Perm Opportunity Starting September 2026

Are you confident, organised, and looking to take your first step into a school-based role? Tradewind Recruitment is working with secondary schools across Basildon that are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join them on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis starting September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking to build a career in education.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising whole classes in the absence of a teacher, ensuring students stay on task
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Delivering pre-prepared work and ensuring learning continues smoothly
• Providing feedback to teachers and school leaders on student progress and conduct
• Supporting students across a range of year groups and subjects

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience working with young people (e.g. in schools, youth work, sports coaching, tutoring)
• A confident and professional approach to classroom management
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, positive attitude
• A strong interest in education - ideal for those considering a future in teaching
• Availability for a full-time role with the potential to move into a permanent contract
