Job Description
As an Import Ocean Freight Coordinator, you are responsible for coordinating and managing import shipments within the logistics process. You act as a liaison between various parties and ensure the smooth and efficient handling of all import activities.
In this role, you will collect, process, and verify relevant information from various parties within the logistics chain, with a strong focus on import sea freight. You will monitor the progress and completeness of shipments and ensure that everything proceeds according to plan.

In this role, you will collect, process, and verify relevant information from various parties within the logistics chain, with a strong focus on import sea freight. You will monitor the progress and completeness of shipments and ensure that everything proceeds according to plan.
Your responsibilities include:
- Coordinating import sea freight shipments from start to finish
- Creating and managing shipping files, including cost monitoring, bookings, and revenue
- Providing instructions for proper financial and administrative processing
- Maintaining contact with customers, shipping lines, and other involved parties regarding operational progress
- Monitoring shipments and promptly following up on deviations
- Reporting to the Import Team Leader
- Actively contributing to process improvements, efficiency, and digitization within the department
Job Requirements:
- You are a well-organized professional with strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and an interest in logistics.
- You have a high school diploma
- Experience in a similar role is a plus
- You have a good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
- You have experience with WMS and Microsoft Office 365
- You have a customer-focused attitude
- You are flexible and do not have a 9-to-5 mentality
