SDET/Automation Tester - £500 per day - Inside IR35 - Remote

We are seeking an experienced SDET/Automation Tester to join a growing technology team working on a major transformation project. This role focuses on automating functional and non functional tests and ensuring quality and reliability across high volume financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Automate tests for Windows services and web APIs
• Apply test driven development practices for all new code
• Design and execute functional, integration and performance tests
• Work closely with engineers to define testing strategies and maintain regression packs
• Use Azure DevOps for test plans, pipelines and reporting
• Support production releases and defect resolution
• Promote best practices in automation and mentor team members

Skills and Experience Required

• Minimum three years of experience in test automation or software development
• Strong C# .NET skills with the ability to make small code changes
• Experience with T SQL and database validation
• Skilled in API testing using Postman or SoapUI and Windows service testing
• Hands on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of TDD/BDD and frameworks such as SpecFlow
• Strong manual testing and exploratory testing skills

Nice to Have

• JMeter or similar performance testing tools
• SpecFlow Plus or other advanced BDD tooling
• Appium for mobile automation

Contract Details

• Rate: £500 per day
• IR35: Inside
• Location: Remote
