Job Description

Our aim is to create a more modern assessment delivery system that sets us up for the future, supports our Senior Associates better in their roles by building associate capacity across the system, further supports our customers, and delivers the best outcomes for learners.

As part of a programme of modernisation, we are updating our senior associate roles and responsibilities across our qualifications.

Core Services and Expectations
  1. Check the final proofs of the question paper(s) without reference to the mark scheme(s) to ensure that questions can be answered in the allotted time and that there are no errors or omissions.
  2. Work through the question paper(s) as appropriate and directed.
  3. Check the mark scheme(s) to ensure that the marks assigned match those on the question paper(s).
  4. Prepare a report for the Content Production Manager.
Experience/Qualifications Needed
  1. Substantial subject knowledge and expertise in Physics.
  2. Degree or equivalent in Physics.
  3. Teaching experience in Physics.
  4. Significant experience in delivering and assessing general qualifications.
  5. Evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in assessment of general qualifications.
Competencies Required
  1. A clear understanding of the educational landscape and regulatory requirements for qualifications.
  2. Detailed knowledge of the specifications relevant to the role's area of expertise.
  3. Ability to edit materials to ensure grammatical correctness and suitability.
  4. Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, IT, and interpersonal skills.

Note: This role is on an ad-hoc contract basis and is not part-time.
