As part of this, we need you to help us ensure that every person who joins our mission has been appropriately and proportionately screened to the highest security standards.You'll join our Personnel Security team to deliver robust vetting and screening processes, ensuring we protect our people, information and assets while enabling trusted individuals to join us quickly and effectively. What you'll be doing You'll play a key role in delivering and improving our personnel screening and vetting processes. Day to day, you'll: Conduct and manage security vetting and screening activities across the business, ideally drawing on experience in the nuclear or regulated sector. Assess and process standardised vetting documentation and ensure compliance with policy and procedure. Support internal personal security investigations Contribute to wider personnel security activities including supplier assessments and travel approval processes. Apply a risk based approach to decision making and support insider risk understanding. Communicate clearly with colleagues across the organisation and the broader UK security community. Essential or highly preferred Experience conducting security vetting or screening , ideally in the nuclear sector or within large/complex organisations. Ability to work in a process driven, highly regulated environment. Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders. Desirable (and trainable) Understanding of insider risk principles. Exposure to internal personal security investigations. Awareness of security related legislation and regulatory frameworks. Success in the role looks like Applying policies and procedures consistently and proportionately. Supporting decisions aligned with organisational risk appetite. Contributing to insider threat mitigation and post incident learning. Assisting with supplier risk assessments and travel authorisations. What's In It For You A salary between £30,000 - £39,400 , a £2,200 benefits allowance , 7% bonus opportunity , 6 pensionable life assurance, income protection, 28 days' holiday plus bank holidays, and a £250 new starter payment.
