Scientific Officer - Wastewater Chemistry

MCS Group are partnering up once again with a Top 10 NI employer to add a Scientific Officer to their Wastewater Chemistry Team on an initial 10 month contract. This position may be extended, and the postholder will have the chance to interview for the permanent post.

The Role:
- Responsible for the collection and analysis of water, wastewater, trade effluent, sludge and soils.
- The work covers a wide range of determinants and includes trace metals, organics, general pollution indicators nutrients and microbiology.
The Person:
- A third level qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) in Science/Chemistry/Environmental Science.
- At least 1 years' practical analytical chemistry experience, within a laboratory operating a Quality Management system.
- Experience of working within and understanding of ISO 17025 standards.
- Knowledge of the Chemical Analysis in the Water Industry.
