Aspire People are looking for an experienced Science Technician to support practical Science activities across RCT.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a laboratory, scientific, education or technical background who enjoys working in a practical environment and supporting learners.
The Role
Prepare equipment, materials and resources for practical Science sessions
Support the safe and effective use of laboratory equipment
Maintain, organise and monitor Science resources
Assist with practical demonstrations and experiments
Follow appropriate health and safety procedures
Carry out stock checks and report any damaged or missing equipment
Work closely with teaching staff to support practical activities
Requirements
Science Technician, laboratory or relevant technical experience
Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures
Good understanding of health and safety
Ability to prepare and organise practical resources
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Good communication and teamwork
Ability to work independently and manage priorities
Experience working with children or young people desirable
EWC registration or willingness to register
Enhanced DBS for Children on the DBS Update Service
