The Role Science Teacher:- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Teach across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, developing students' scientific knowledge and analytical skills.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment and intervention.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, STEM initiatives and wider school life.
- Well-equipped specialist laboratories and dedicated practical Science resources.
- A diverse, inclusive school community with high expectations for all pupils.
- Ongoing subject specific CPD and clear professional development pathways.
- Supportive mentoring for ECTs and progression opportunities for established teachers considering 2IC or HoD responsibilities.
- A qualified Science Teacher with UK QTS and a relevant degree from a UK university.
- Experience, through training or previous roles, delivering high-quality Science lessons.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage students across different abilities.
- A positive, collaborative approach and commitment to pupil achievement and personal development.
Location: Waltham Forest
Weekly Rate: £194.21-£287.97 via PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay)
Contract: Long term contract with scope to become a permanent member of staff
