A number of secondary schools in Barnsley are seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teachers to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the RoleAs a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. You will be expected to plan and deliver high-quality teaching, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and ensure students are supported in achieving their learning goals.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Assess, monitor and track student progress
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of different learnersProvide feedback to students to support development
- Contribute to departmental planning and school-wide initiatives
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)
- Experience teaching Science in secondary school settings
- Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry or Physics
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Professional, reliable and adaptable approach
- Ability to inspire and engage young learners
