We are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Brackley that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Science Teacher for an immediate start.
This is a full-time opportunity, with permanent and fixed-term options available depending on the successful candidate and the needs of the school.
You will join a collaborative Science department where high expectations, strong teamwork, and positive student outcomes are central to the school's approach.
The RoleAs a Science Teacher, you will:
- Teach engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching potentially available.
- Plan and deliver lessons that develop students' scientific knowledge, understanding, and practical skills.
- Use practical experiments and investigative activities to make Science exciting and accessible.
- Establish a positive classroom environment where students are encouraged to participate and ask questions.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.
- Support enrichment activities such as STEM clubs, science fairs, trips, and competitions.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources and best practice.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school.
The ideal candidate will have:
- QTS/QTLS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A specialism in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Science.
- The ability to engage, challenge, and support students of varying abilities.
- Effective classroom management skills and a calm, consistent approach.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to high standards of teaching and student achievement.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
