We are seeking an experienced and passionate Science Lead to take ownership of Science provision within a specialist SEN setting in Mansfield, supporting pupils with SEMH needs and leading the development of the subject across the school.

As Science Lead, you will:
- Lead and develop the Science curriculum across the provision
- Teach Science across relevant key stages and abilities
- Support and guide other staff delivering Science
- Ensure curriculum content is accessible, engaging, and meaningful for SEN learners
- Monitor progress and contribute to whole-school development
This is an exciting opportunity for a Science specialist ready to take on leadership responsibility within a supportive SEN environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:- Significant experience working with SEMH pupils (essential)
- QTS/QTLS and a strong Science specialism
- Experience teaching Science at KS3 and/or KS4
- Leadership experience or readiness to step into a lead role
- Strong behaviour and classroom management built on relationships
- A trauma-informed and inclusive approach to education
- A key leadership role within a growing provision
- Small classes and high staff-to-pupil ratios
- Ongoing SEN and leadership CPD
- Supportive senior leadership with a clear vision
