We are working with a friendly and well organised secondary school in Redcar seeking a Receptionist to join their front office team. This is a key role within the school, acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and students.
The successful candidate will be professional, approachable, and highly organised, with the ability to manage a busy reception environment efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Welcoming visitors, parents, and students in a professional manner
- Managing incoming calls and responding to enquiries
- Handling sign in procedures and safeguarding protocols
- Providing general administrative support to the school officeManaging emails, post, and internal communications
- Supporting attendance and pupil information systems where required
- Previous reception or administrative experience (school experience desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident using IT systems (e.g. Microsoft Office; SIMS or similar is advantageous)
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
- Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality within a school setting
- A supportive and welcoming school environment
