School Cleaner - LE3 Area - Start ASAP
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm - 6:30pm Friday, 2:30pm - 6:30pm
Pay: Competitive hourly rate
Contract: Part time, ongoing with potential for long term opportunities
GSL Education is recruiting reliable and dedicated School Cleaners to work in secondary and primary schools across the LE3 area of Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and supportive school community, helping to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out general cleaning duties across classrooms, corridors, and communal areas
- Ensure toilets, staff rooms, and offices are cleaned to a high standard
- Empty bins and manage waste responsibly
- Follow school health and safety procedures and use cleaning equipment safely
- Report any maintenance or cleaning issues promptly to site management
- Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school or similar environment (preferred but not essential)
- Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education
- Right to work in the UK
- A positive attitude, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take pride in maintaining high standards
Morning shift options are also available for candidates seeking extra hours or flexible working patterns.
