Job Description
Berkeley Scott is seeking experienced School Chefs in Tetbury for temporary assignments starting in September.

These roles involve preparing and serving nutritious meals for pupils and staff across primary schools, secondary schools, and academies in Tetbury and surrounding areas. Successful candidates will support daily kitchen operations, maintain high hygiene standards, and adapt quickly to busy catering environments. An Enhanced DBS certificate is essential. The position offers weekly pay, holiday pay, and up to £23.00 per hour depending on experience. This is ideal for dependable chefs able to provide cover for holidays, sickness, vacancies, or additional operational support within educational settings.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals for pupils and staff.
  • Supporting the day-to-day running of school kitchens.
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health and safety standards.
  • Catering for allergens and special dietary requirements.
  • Assisting with stock control, food preparation and kitchen cleanliness.
Essential Requirements:
  • Previous chef experience within schools, educational catering, care homes, contract catering or high-volume kitchens.
  • A current Enhanced DBS Certificate.
  • Food Hygiene Level 3 Certificate.
  • Strong understanding of allergens and special dietary requirements.
  • Reliable, professional and able to work independently.
