School Catering Assistants - Temp - Taunton

Berkeley Scott is seeking School Catering Assistants (Temp) in Taunton for term time roles across primary, secondary schools and academies.

These temporary positions involve food preparation, serving meals and maintaining kitchen hygiene during daytime hours.

Applicants should be reliable, hardworking and hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one.

Pay rates range from £12.71 to £13.45 per hour, depending on experience and site. Holiday pay is accrued and payments are made weekly. Flexible shifts and a dedicated agency team support you across different school settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation
• Serving meals to students and staff
• Maintaining high levels of kitchen hygiene
• Cleaning and clearing kitchen and dining areas
• Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods

What We're Looking For

• Previous catering or hospitality experience (preferred but not essential)
• Experience in school or contract catering (desirable)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Professional, reliable and organised approach
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude
