Are you an experienced School Administrator looking for work this September? Flourish Education are seeking a confident and organised administrator to join a welcoming Secondary School in Worcester. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a school office, although formal qualifications are not essential.
This is a front of house role where you will be the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff. Day to day responsibilities will include answering telephone calls, responding to emails, and dealing with general enquiries in a professional and friendly manner. You will also support the wider office team with a range of administrative tasks.
You should be confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, and have experience with school management systems. Knowledge of Arbor is essential, while familiarity with SIMS would be highly desirable.
You will work closely with the Office Manager and Business Manager, contributing to the smooth running of the school office. Full training will be provided on school systems where required, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in school administration within a supportive environment.
Duties of a School Administrator may include:- Acting as the first point of contact for parents, staff and visitors
- Managing phone calls, emails, post and enquiries efficiently
- Maintaining accurate pupil records and data in line with GDPR requirements
- Producing letters, reports and other correspondence
- Assisting with pupil attendance recording and reporting
- Supporting the organisation of school events and trips
- Overseeing the administration of the school website and text messaging service
- General office duties including filing, photocopying and managing stationery supplies
- Previous experience working as a School Administrator or Receptionist within a school setting
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- A good understanding of school data systems, policies and procedures
- Knowledge and experience of using Arbor (essential)
- Experience using SIMS (desirable)
- Clear understanding of Data Protection principles
- Competitive salary - Day rate up to £120 (equivalent to £23,400 per annum, based on 5 days per week)
