Job Description

We are currently working with a well-established Housing Association who are looking to recruit an experienced Scheme Manager to support the delivery of housing services within older persons' accommodation across the Walsall area. This is a customer-facing role responsible for providing day-to-day tenancy and scheme management, ensuring residents can live safely, independently and comfortably in their homes.

Key Responsibilities of a Scheme Manager:
  • Deliver day-to-day tenancy and scheme management across older persons' housing schemes.
  • Act as the first point of contact for residents, supporting them with tenancy related issues and helping them sustain their tenancies.
  • Carry out regular scheme inspections, ensuring communal areas and buildings are safe, well maintained and compliant with health and safety requirements.
  • Manage low-level anti social behaviour cases and tenancy breaches, working with other teams where necessary.
  • Support the lettings process, including viewings, housing needs assessments and tenancy sign ups.
  • Liaise with internal teams and contractors to ensure repairs, maintenance and estate services are delivered effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records and compliance documentation, including fire safety checks and scheme logs.
  • Work with external agencies and community partners to support residents and reduce isolation.
What We'd Love To See From You:
  • Experience working within housing management, supported housing, sheltered housing or neighbourhood housing services.
  • Experience supporting older or vulnerable residents.
  • Knowledge of tenancy management and dealing with ASB or tenancy breaches.
  • Understanding of health & safety compliance within housing schemes (fire safety, inspections etc.).
  • Strong communication, organisation and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
What's on offer for this Scheme Manager role:
  • £17 - £19 per hour
  • 22 - 25 hours per week
  • Minimum 6 month contract with potential extension
