Location: Bristol - Onsite 5 days a week
Contract: 12 months (likely to be extended)
Rate: £65 per hour (via Umbrella)
Security Clearance: SC required to start
Join our dynamic team at our Bristol facility, where we develop cutting-edge solutions for next-generation Air Defence Systems. You'll be part of a collaborative environment focused on evolving products while maintaining our reputation for safety, performance, and dependability.
This is a hands-on role requiring proactive design and development of new and evolving software tools and architectures for future products.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop software tools and architectures for Air Defence Systems.
- Work across the entire software development life cycle, from requirements to integration and testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain development momentum.
- Explore and implement new tools, techniques, and approaches to improve efficiency and sustainability.
- Strong background in software engineering and system-wide impact.
- 6+ years' experience in Java development.
- Experience in other languages such as Ada.
- Knowledge of DDS Middleware and Real Time Operating Systems.
- Familiarity with standards such as DefStan 00-55, DO-178C, or IEC61508.
