Location: Largely Remote (occasional travel to UK Defence sites - expenses covered)
Rate: £500 - £600 per day

We are seeking experienced AI Developers with active SC Clearance to join an exciting project within the UK Defence sector. This is a contract role outside IR35, offering the opportunity to work on impactful, cutting-edge AI solutions.

About the Role

You will be part of a collaborative team designing, developing and deploying advanced AI systems across both on-premise and cloud-based environments. The work will involve building applications, integrating APIs, and leveraging the latest in large language models (LLMs) to deliver powerful, production-ready solutions for defence and government stakeholders.

Key Skills and Experience

• Active SC Clearance (essential)

• Proven experience working with the Ministry of Defence (MOD) or similar secure environments

• Strong development experience in Python and JavaScript

• Hands-on experience with AI systems, LLMs, and tools such as OpenAI, Claude, and LangChain

• Experience working across on-premise and cloud-based deployments

• Familiarity with notebooks, APIs, and building AI-driven applications
