Job Description
Overview

SAP Time Functional Consultant

Location: Broughton - 3 days onsite as a minimum

Contract Inside IR35: £86 an hour via an Umbrella

What You'll Be Doing
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements around time and attendance, including absences, overtime, shifts, and work schedules.
  • Configure and implement SAP Time Management solutions, covering schemas, rules, calendars, time types, and absence categories.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Payroll, Personnel Administration, and Organizational Management to ensure smooth system integration.
  • Draft detailed functional specifications for enhancements and reports, and work with developers to ensure accurate delivery.
  • Lead and support testing phases (unit, integration, UAT) and resolve defects efficiently.
  • Produce and maintain system documentation, process flows, and user training materials.
  • Provide end-user support and deliver training sessions to ensure effective system use.
  • Continuously review existing processes to identify opportunities for improvement, adopting SAP best practices and innovations.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years' hands-on SAP Time Management (PT) experience, including configuration and project delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of positive/negative time recording, evaluation processes, and data integration.
  • Proven expertise in time schemas, rules, work schedules, and calendars.
  • Good understanding of integration with SAP Payroll and other HCM modules.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and a logical, delivery-focused approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with both business and technical audiences.
  • Experience of at least two full SAP implementation lifecycles.
Nice to Have
  • SAP Time Management certification.
  • Exposure to SAP HANA Time Management.
  • Knowledge of third-party time systems (such as xAtlas).
  • Previous work in Aerospace or Defence.
  • Leadership or project management experience.
