The Payroll Country Expert Denmark at will be the owner of the functional specifications of the
country template.
They will act as a strategic payroll business advisor understanding the market demands, developments and trends to further drive the technical and services roadmap in addition to driving the strategic client partnership roadmaps.
They will be the primary point of contact for payroll processing. They will possess expert-level knowledge of local payroll legislation, tax laws, and customary practices. Leading a team responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing within agreed contractual Service Level Agreements.
They will be the key coordinator for payroll operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance and resolve and address complex client questions and queries via the Service Management Tool.
Responsibilities:
. Own the country payroll processing for clients in your designated country using SAP SuccessFactors (EC, ECP, and PCC).
. Ensure compliance with local payroll laws, tax regulations, and labour market practices.
. Coordinate payroll team to ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery, meeting client requirements and deadlines as outlined in the payroll calendar.
. Communicate directly with clients regarding payroll queries, discrepancies, and system enhancements.
. Participate on Monthly service reviews with client when needed.
. Act as the primary point of contact for client-designated representatives at the country level.
. Develop and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, tax agencies, and other third parties involved in payroll processing.
. Monitor payroll performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes to enhance quality and efficiency.
. Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for payroll processes and legislation in your country.
. Provide functional expertise on payroll processes, payroll configurations and integrations.
. Ensure services are delivered according to contractual commitment and Service Level Agreements.
. Oversee advanced testing and validation for system updates, configuration changes (eg, new wage types), and ensure proper execution by the team.
. Lead functional implementations of new incoming clients and coordinate testing activities, SIT, UAT and Parallel Payroll, with the payroll team in accordance to best practices.
. Maintaining up-to-date payroll and business process documentation (SOPs, country solution workbook, payroll design, wage type catalogue).
. Provide support, guidance and training to Payroll Administrators and Payroll Specialist, ensuring best practices and compliance with payroll regulations.
. Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
. Design business cases for the payroll country template, propose product improvements and liaise with the products department for incorporation in the technology roadmap.
. Conduct training sessions for internal teams to increase their knowledge levels and support internal growth.
Qualifications and Experiences:
. 8 - 12 years of experience in payroll processing, with a preference for experience in a payroll outsourcing environment.
. Expert knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors (EC, ECP, and PCC)
. Expert knowledge on Impat and Expat payroll with split payroll and shadow payroll.
. Deep understanding of local payroll legislation, tax laws, and HR practices.
. Strong client management skills, with the ability to handle complex payroll-related queries.
. Ability to effectively organize and lead the team, managing time and priorities to meet deadlines.
. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
. Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
. Discretion in handling sensitive information.
. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), fluent in both English and Danish
Preferred Skills:
. Local payroll certifications and or certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) is a plus.
. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
. A good understanding of SAP SuccessFactors EC modules such as Time Tracking, Workforce Management, Compensation is beneficial.
. Integration knowledge of applications in relation to HRIS systems, Finance Solutions, Travel and Expenses, Benefits and Time solutions.
. Experience working in a payroll outsourcing environment or shared services model is preferred.
