Role - We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) Consultant to design and deliver SAP JVA solutions.

This hands-on role requires deep expertise across SAP S/4HANA JVA, Ownership Management, Venture Accounting, Partner Billing, Cutback Processing, Cash Calls and Equity Adjustments, combined with a strong understanding of Oil & Gas accounting and Joint Operating Agreements (JOA).

You will work closely with Finance and business stakeholders to translate complex joint venture and upstream accounting requirements into scalable SAP S/4HANA solutions, supporting process design, configuration, integration, data migration, testing and ongoing optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP S/4HANA JVA
  
  • Design, configure and support end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) processes.
  • Deliver solutions across Ownership Management, Venture Accounting, Partner Billing, Cutback Processing, Cash Calls and Equity Adjustments.
  • Lead business requirements gathering, Fit-Gap analysis, process design, solution workshops and demonstrations.
  • Translate business and accounting requirements into scalable SAP solutions and detailed functional specifications.
• Oil & Gas Accounting
  
  • Design JVA solutions supporting Upstream Operations, Exploration & Production (E&P) Accounting and Joint Operating Agreements (JOA).
  • Support processes across working interests, ownership structures, revenue distribution and production accounting.
  • Ensure solutions align with relevant accounting requirements and Oil & Gas industry practices.
• SAP Finance & Integration
  
  • Design and support integration between SAP JVA and S/4HANA Finance, including FI-GL, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, WBS and Asset Accounting.
  • Work across integrated SAP capabilities including FI, CO, AA, Project Systems (PS), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Production Revenue Accounting (PRA), Group Reporting and SAP BW/Analytics.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure consistent end-to-end Finance and operational processes.
• Data & Delivery
  
  • Support migration of venture master data, ownership interests and financial balances into SAP S/4HANA.
  • Produce functional specifications and coordinate custom developments, integrations and enhancements with technical teams.
  • Support the wider implementation life cycle across process validation, testing, deployment and solution optimisation.

Key Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) within complex enterprise environments.
• Deep functional expertise across Ownership Management, Venture Accounting, Partner Billing, Cutback Processing, Cash Calls and Equity Adjustments.
• Strong Oil & Gas industry experience, with an understanding of Upstream Operations, Exploration & Production Accounting, Joint Operating Agreements (JOA), Working Interests, Revenue Distribution and Production Accounting.
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA Finance, particularly FI-GL, AP, AR, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, WBS Elements and Asset Accounting.
• Proven experience across business requirements analysis, Fit-Gap, process design, SAP configuration and functional specification development.
• Experience integrating SAP JVA with FI/CO, Asset Accounting, Project Systems, EAM and Production Revenue Accounting (PRA).
• Strong experience supporting JVA master data and financial data migration, including venture structures, ownership interests and balances.
• Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills, with the ability to translate complex Oil & Gas accounting requirements into effective SAP solutions.
