Job Description

SAP Project Manager/Trainer - English Speaking - Remote Work from anywhere in Europe. Permanent Job (Employment in any EU country including the UK via an EOR or B2B). Flexible Start Date from August 2026 Onwards. Salary €80,000 - €156,000 Gross per Annum + Up to $120,000 Equity (Stock options).

Our client is an SAP Build Partner Headquartered in the USA. They are a pioneer in AI technologies who have developed an Agentic Orchestration Platform with AI agents that dramatically accelerate SAP S/4HANA implementations and SAP project delivery. They are a start-up company backed by a $20m investment from venture capitalists to help them rapidly expand into Europe.

They are hiring their first team member in Europe. You'll be the face of the company to their European system integrator partners and their clients - helping them adopt the AI platform on live S/4HANA programmes and feeding what you learn back to the engineering team in the USA. This is a rare ground-floor role with genuine ownership and a direct line to the product and the founders.

If you've spent years managing SAP projects/implementations, you already know where the time goes - and how much of the work is repetitive, manual and ready for change. This AI platform exists to change it. Joining the company means moving from delivering implementations the old way to shaping how every implementation will be done in the AI era. A few reasons their work resonates with experienced SAP professionals:

  • You'll be at the frontier. The AI agent is rethinking S/4HANA delivery from the ground up. Instead of running the same project for the tenth time, you'll apply your hard-won SAP expertise to a product that compounds it.
  • Your experience is the differentiator. The company doesn't want you to leave SAP behind - quite the opposite. Your years in the field are exactly what makes you valuable here: you'll translate real project pain into a product that thousands of consultants will use.
  • Real ownership, from the ground floor. As their first hire in Europe, you'll help define the role, the playbook and the region - with scope and visibility that are hard to find on a traditional consulting career path.
  • Meaningful upside. The company is backed by a $20M seed round by Venture Partners, with a team rooted at Stanford University, Meta AI and Microsoft. Your equity is a real stake in that trajectory.
  • Top-tier partners. You'll work alongside the best names in the ecosystem and more - without the billable-hour treadmill of a pure consulting role.

Career trajectory:

  • This is a rare, career defining opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up. You'll be stepping into a foundational role with significant long-term upside, joining at a moment where your impact will directly shape the company's European presence. There is a clear progression path: growing into a team lead within 12-24 months, and potentially becoming their Country Head for Europe as the organisation scales.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • You will not be managing an SAP project. Instead, you will work alongside existing SAP Project Managers, using your extensive SAP S/4HANA delivery experience to train SAP Project Managers, SAP Functional Consultants and other project stakeholders on how to leverage this game changing AI technology to accelerate SAP project delivery and improve overall execution quality.
  • Onboard and train SI (System Integrator) consultants and client project teams on the AI platform.
  • Embed within live SAP S/4HANA implementation projects to drive successful adoption across SAP Activate phases.
  • Capture structured feedback - enhancement requests, change requests and bugs - and relay it clearly to the engineering team in the USA.
  • Act as the voice of the European customer in product roadmap and prioritisation discussions.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with our customers across Europe.

Required skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years' of SAP Project Management experience
  • Must have project managed several SAP S/4HANA full life cycle end-to-end implementations.
  • You must have a keen interest in AI and be able to demonstrate how you use AI in your day-to-day work/life. They are not looking for an AI engineer or AI expert, but someone who instinctively reaches for AI tools and is energised by them rather than resistant.
  • Must have experience working within consulting firms.
  • You must be comfortable operating autonomously as their sole European team member while collaborating closely with the team in the USA.
  • Work from home 70% of the time, with a willingness to travel roughly 30% per month across the whole of Europe, with the main countries being: Belgium, France, Netherlands, UK, Germany.
  • You must be comfortable working in a start-up environment of 20 people. This means you:
    • Must be comfortable operating at startup pace:
      • Work quickly without needing long planning cycles
      • Makes decisions with incomplete information
      • Don't freeze when priorities change suddenly
      • Can deliver version 1.0 fast, then improve it later
      • A start-up is the opposite of a slow, process heavy corporate environment.
    • Must have fast iteration:
      • Build > test > adjust > repeat
      • Not being precious about ideas
      • Willing to scrap work and redo it if needed
      • Comfortable with constant feedback loops
      • They want someone who moves quickly, experiments, and adapts.
    • Must be comfortable with ambiguity:
      • The role is not fully defined
      • Processes don't exist yet
      • Priorities may change weekly
      • You must figure things out without clear instructions
      • Some people need structure; the company wants someone who creates structure.
    • You must be able to wear multiple hats:
      • Doing tasks outside your primary job description
      • Switching between strategy and hands on execution
      • Helping with whatever the business needs that day
      • Being flexible: especially with timing
      • Startups don't have big teams - everyone covers multiple functions.

Working Hours:

  • Core business hours are 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday between 08:00 - 18:00 CET (or GMT if based in the UK) with 1 hour for lunch.
  • You must be fully flexible and prepared to work additional hours outside of standard business times when required, in order to accommodate the time difference with the United States.
  • Because the company is headquartered in the USA, with an 8-9 hour time difference, and also has teams in South America with a 4-5 hour difference, there will be occasions, typically a few times per week, where you may need to work later into the evening to attend important meetings with American colleagues. When this happens, you will be compensated with a later start the following day.
  • There is no requirement to work on Saturdays.
  • However, on rare occasions, you may be asked to join a team meeting on a Sunday evening at approximately 19:00 CET. This is not part of the normal schedule and will only occur when a weekday meeting is not possible.

Languages:

  • Must be fluent in English.

Salary Package:

  • This is a Permanent Job vacancy NOT a freelance contract job. As the company does not yet have a presence in Europe, employment will have to be via either an EOR (Employer of Record) firm with statutory benefits per your country of residence (eg pension, paid holiday, public holidays, etc.) OR via a B2B contract.
  • The Fixed Basic Salary on offer is subject to your level of skills, knowledge and experience and ranges between €80,000 - €156,000 gross per annum and is subject to whether you opt to be employed via an EOR firm or via a B2B contract.
  • Equity: stock options worth up to $120,000. A real stake in a fast-growing, well-funded company
  • For employment within the UK, the company can offer between GBP £80,000 - £134,000 per annum.

Remote Working:

  • This job is based remotely from the comfort of your own home.
  • The job involves 30% travel to customer sites across the whole of Europe, with the main countries being: Belgium, France, Netherlands, UK, Germany.

Work Visas:

  • The company cannot sponsor work visas. All candidates must therefore have either EU Citizenship or permanent residency within an EU country.
  • For employment within the UK, call candidates must hold British Citizenship. UK work visas cannot be sponsored and ILR status is not acceptable either due to the need to travel frequently to the EU.
