Role: SAP MRP (Material Requirements Planning) Consultant
Contract: B2B
Length: 1 year with possible extension
Location: 100% remote from Europe with occasional travels
Languages: English & French (both mandatory)
We are seeking a hands-on SAP MRP Specialist to support manufacturing and planning sites across France. This role is part of a global digital operations team and focuses on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) within SAP. You will work directly with end users at site level, supporting daily operations, conducting workshops, and ensuring effective communication between business and IT.
The ideal candidate is not a senior manager, but a practical, operations-oriented professional with strong SAP MRP expertise and excellent interpersonal skills. You will be expected to work directly in the system - not just provide oversight - and play a key role in driving process efficiency and user engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and monitorMRP runs within SAP across multiple French sites. Set up and maintain MRP master data parameters, including:
- Lot size, procurement type, and MRP type
- Related master data impacting material planning (from other stakeholders such as production, procurement, or inventory teams)
- AnalyzeMRP outputs to identify issues, propose corrective actions, and follow up on resolution. Collaborate directly with site-level users to understand operational needs and provide effective system support.
Conduct workshops and training sessions with French-speaking users independently.
Serve as the main communication bridge for French sites, ensuring clear and practical explanations of planning processes.
Support the adoption of new tools and systems (eg, Athena) through a proactive learning mindset.
Fluent in both French and English (essential requirement). Strong SAP experience, specifically in MRP processes (Material Requirements Planning).
Demonstrated ability to configure, run, and troubleshoot MRP activities in SAP.
Solid understanding of master data management within manufacturing and supply chain contexts.
Comfortable working hands-on in the system with end users and operations teams.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - able to explain complex processes in simple, clear language.
Culturally sensitive and approachable; capable of building rapport with site teams in informal settings.
Experience with Athena or similar systems is a plus, but not mandatory.
Personal Attributes
Practical and proactive - takes initiative to solve problems directly in the system.
Empathetic communicator who can adapt to different audiences.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently with French-speaking users.
