SAP GTS Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) Consultant with strong expertise in Preference Calculation to join our team on a 1-year contract starting in January.

The consultant will support ongoing trade compliance initiatives, optimize preference determination processes, and ensure accurate and efficient customs operations within SAP GTS.

Duration: 12 months (1 year)
Start Date: January
Location: Remote with 20% travel in EU

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute Preference Calculation processes within SAP GTS, including setup, validation, and optimization

• Configure and maintain SAP GTS components related to Origin Management, BOM explosion, supplier declarations, and preference rules

• Work closely with supply chain, procurement, and compliance teams to support preference determination workflows

• Troubleshoot and resolve functional issues related to GTS Preference and Compliance Management

• Provide guidance for classification processes, master data accuracy, and global trade regulatory adherence

• Participate in system updates, testing cycles, documentation, and knowledge transfer sessions

• Ensure seamless integration between SAP ECC/S4 and GTS for preference-related data

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP GTS experience, with a strong focus on Preference Calculation/Origin Management

• In-depth knowledge of trade compliance, free trade agreements, and preference eligibility rules

• Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA integration for GTS

• Strong understanding of master data related to GTS (material master, vendor declarations, BOM structures)

• Proven ability to work independently in a contract/remote environment

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with other GTS modules (Compliance, Customs Management, Embargo, SPL Screening)

• Exposure to global trade regulations in EU, US, or APAC regions

• SAP certification in GTS (preferred but not required
