Blue chip client is looking for a medior SAP FICO Consultant - AMS Structure (ECC6 Environment)

Role is based in Brussels and Remote - fluent French or Dutch speaking is needed.

Role:

Functional Analyst IT - SAP Financial Accounting & Controlling (ECC 6.0)

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct requirements gathering and elicitation from business stakeholders.
Evaluate and challenge business needs to ensure alignment with SAP best practices.
Analyze and validate functional and technical designs.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications and ensure clear communication with development teams.
Coordinate with developers and business users to implement changes.
Manage the full life cycle of change requests: GAP analysis, developments, adjustments, testing, training, user acceptance, go-live and aftercare.
Execute unit testing and maintain comprehensive documentation.
Provide operational support by evaluating business requests and proposing optimal solutions.
Proactively contributes to continuous improvement initiatives within the AMS framework.

Your Profile:
Master's degree in Economics, IT, or related field; or equivalent experience.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Finance and SAP FICO modules (FI/CO).
Solid understanding of SAP ECC 6.0; exposure to S/4HANA Retail is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication skills; able to defend ideas while remaining open to feedback.
Customer-focused with a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
Comfortable managing high workloads and occasional off-hours support.
Eager to learn and stay updated on innovative technologies and market trends.
Demonstrates accountability, flexibility, and a positive mindset.
Technical & Functional Expertise:
Proficient in SAP FI/CO modules.
Experience with functional specification writing, testing, and change management.
Familiar with integration points with other SAP modules (eg, MM, SD) is a plus.
Knowledge of ABAP debugging is a plus.
SAP certification in FICO or S/4HANA is advantageous.
