We are supporting a well-structured organisation based in Angers that is entering a critical phase of its SAP transformation journey and is seeking a senior SAP FI/CO Consultant who can also operate confidently as a Chef de Projet. This is a six-month freelance engagement with strong visibility at leadership level and a mandate that combines deep functional expertise with hands-on project ownership.

The assignment requires someone who is equally comfortable configuring SAP Finance and Controlling as they are steering a programme, coordinating stakeholders, and managing delivery milestones. This is not a pure advisory role and it is not a detached PM position. The successful consultant will be expected to lead from the front, combining technical credibility in SAP FI/CO with structured governance, risk management and stakeholder alignment.

The programme centres around SAP migration activities, with a strong focus on finance transformation and integration across related modules. You will be responsible for overseeing and contributing to SAP migration initiatives, ensuring clean data transitions, process harmonisation and alignment between FI/CO and adjacent functional areas such as MM, SD and potentially HR or asset accounting components. A strong understanding of cross-module integration points is essential, particularly in the context of S/4HANA migration or system conversion projects.

You will lead workshops with finance stakeholders, design and validate target operating models, supervise configuration and testing cycles, and ensure that business requirements are translated into robust SAP solutions. In parallel, you will manage planning, timelines, risk logs and reporting, acting as the bridge between IT, finance leadership and external partners. The role requires a consultant who understands both system architecture and financial process optimisation at a strategic level.

We are looking for an experienced SAP FI/CO consultant with proven end-to-end project life cycle exposure, including blueprinting, realisation, migration and post-go-live support. Demonstrable experience as a project manager or Chef de Projet is mandatory, ideally within multi-country or multi-entity environments. You should have delivered at least one significant SAP migration programme and possess a clear understanding of data migration tools, reconciliation strategies and cutover planning. Experience coordinating across modules during migration is critical, as the environment involves tightly integrated finance and logistics processes.

The ideal profile will be autonomous, structured and confident engaging C-level stakeholders. Fluency in French is required, and professional English is highly desirable given the broader programme context. Onsite presence in Angers will be expected to ensure effective stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation.
