SAP Basis Consultant/Architect - German Speaking (B2+) - 90% Remote Working with 2-3 Days/month on-site in Austria. Start date. 30th March 2026 4 Month Contract.

Our consultancy client is looking to hire an SAP Basis Consultant/Architect to help deliver customer projects in Austria. The role can be worked mainly remotely, with 2-3 days/month on-site in Vienna or Innsbruck.

The role is to support customers in the design, implementation and optimization of modern SAP system landscapes and help shape future-proof architectures.

Skills & experience needed:

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in SAP Basis system administration
• Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows server administration, virtualization (eg VMware) and storage/backup technologies.
• Several years of experience in database administration of SAP systems under SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase and SAP HANA
• Ideally, experience with migration to the SAP Private Cloud.
• Very good German skills (minimum of B2 level)

Key Tasks:

• Conceptualization and design of innovative SAP solutions using new technologies and modern architectures
• Creation of technical architecture and migration concepts for complex SAP landscapes
• Installation, configuration and commissioning of SAP systems
• Setup, operation and optimization of SAP system landscapes including the implementation of support and enhancement packages.
• Monitoring, performance optimization, and ensuring availability and interface provisioning
• Analysis and resolution of system malfunctions and execution of root cause analyses
• Consulting and technical support for our customers regarding S/4HANA strategies, cloud transformation scenarios and system harmonizations
