SAP Basis Consultant

Poland/Romania (remote work) EST working hours

Contract- 12 months+ with possible extension

Key responsibilities:

• Manage SAP system installations, configurations, and upgrades (ECC, BW, PO, etc.)
• Administer SAP HANA databases, perform system tuning, and resolve issues.
• Support Global PO team to migrate interfaces from current ERP platform to SAP Integration Suite.
• Duplicate SAP systems using data replication methods approved by SAP.
• Plan and execute lifecycle activities to ensure the SAP ERP is secure, supportable and functional for the business.
• Proactively review, coordinate, and apply platform patches as required.
• Provide proactive improvement, technical upgrades, and support of platforms environments. Work with cross-functional teams for smooth project execution.
• Create and maintain platform administration documentation outlining administration policies and practices.
• Handle SAP security, system hardening etc.
• Management of critical / major incident

Keynote:

• Experience running big environments: 20k+ users, 10TB+ databases.

Skills & Experience:

• 12 years commercial experience
• Experience managing SAP technologies as a Basis Administrator.
• Expected to be SME
• Hands-on experience with multiple SAP products in Basis administration.
• Strong technical foundation and problem-solving skills.
• Engage with multiple teams and support key decisions
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams
• Ability to drive continuous improvement, major incidents, problem management
• High level autonomy in the technical area
• Ability to identify and manage risks, propose solutions.
• Great understanding of SAP architecture.
• Open for learning new technologies.
