We are looking for a skilled SAN Infrastructure Specialist to support the administration, migration, and documentation of Storage Area Network (SAN) environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAN technologies, including storage protocols, zoning, and performance monitoring. This role involves both operational and project-based tasks, particularly focusing on infrastructure decommissioning and documentation updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Administration of SAN environments
- Migration of SAN switches, involving cabling tasks, decommissioning of old hardware, and updates to relevant network and SAN documentation
- Management of storage protocols
- Zoning configuration and optimization
- Monitoring and diagnostics of SAN systems
- Basic troubleshooting and issue resolution in SAN infrastructure
Scope of Work
- Decommission old hardware and remove related monitoring configurations
- Update outdated firewall and IP configurations associated with decommissioned assets
- Update all relevant network, SAN switch, and DTS (Data Transfer System) design documentation
- Ensure validation and approval of updated documentation by eu-LISA SAN team members
Deliverables
- Updated cabling plan
- Revised documentation for SAN switches and DTS design
- Updated ICD (Interface Control Document) / DTS documentation
Requirements
- +3 years of hands-on experience with enterprise SAN solutions such as HPE 3PAR, Primera, or XP8.
- Experience with CEPH is a plus
- English C1 level
