The Cardiff Global Centre is home to a range of teams working collaboratively across regions and functions.
About the RoleThe Salesforce Engineering Manager will lead delivery across several IT initiatives for the Schools Office. The position involves managing development teams and external partners to ensure effective implementation of solutions used by global stakeholders. The role is based in Cardiff, with a hybrid working model in place.
Key Areas of Responsibility- Oversee software development, ensuring timely delivery across change requests, projects, and workstreams in line with SDLC practices.
- Provide direction to internal and third-party development teams, facilitating planning and day-to-day delivery through Agile processes.
- Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and IT support teams to prepare for operational handovers and manage post-release support as required.
- Coordinate release planning and communication, managing risks and proposing process updates where necessary.
- Engage with suppliers by evaluating proposals, monitoring delivery, and reviewing performance against agreed terms and SLAs.
- Proven background in Salesforce development, implementation, and configuration.
- Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I (Developer II preferred).
- Experience in leading software development teams.
- Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Copado or Flosum.
- Skilled in cross-team coordination and working with distributed teams.
- Comfortable managing supplier relationships and service delivery.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps or other software lifecycle tools.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
