Sales Manager - Legal Events

Location: London

Salary: OTE £70,000 - £80,000 per annum with uncapped commission (Basic: £45,000-£55,000 (DOE)

Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full-time

The Role

The organisation is looking for a Sales Manager to expand their global reach and revenue growth by developing their portfolio of legal events.

Bringing together the finest legal minds from across the globe to share insights, debate ideas and connect in-person, their world-class symposia are an established feature on the legal calendar, and this position will play a pivotal role in maintaining the success of existing events as well as strengthening and growing the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and curate the events portfolio, and collaborate with the Publisher, Head of Marketing and other key stakeholders to ensure that agenda objectives and revenue targets are achieved
  • Play a key role at their events, both in the UK and aboard, and be a visible and value-adding brand ambassador
  • Ensure that, through research and relationship building, advanced industry knowledge is maintained and utilised for the betterment of the events portfolio
  • Research, qualify and approach prospective clients, including top-tier law firms, industry specialists and service providers to secure sponsorships, speakers and delegates
  • Develop relationships with existing and new clients to increase portfolio revenues and coverage
  • Uphold accurate forecasting and revenue generation against strategic focusses, sustain structured sales planning and delivery, and maintain impeccable CRM records
  • Actively contribute to the wider sales strategy of the commercial team by driving growth and identifying new opportunities

The Person

The key skills and attributes of the successful candidate:

  • Established B2B event sponsorship or thought-leadership sales experience, ideally within the legal sector.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting/surpassing targets and KPIs.
  • Highly motivated with strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Proven track record for developing strong working relationships and specialised industry knowledge.
  • A passion for innovation and a willingness to take the lead on projects.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with impeccable attention to detail.
