What are we doing about it?We're building the platform for independent businesses to grow, spot trends, and sell to their customers. Giving the florist on the corner, the cafe down the street and the local butcher the tools that for decades have been held only by big retail & online.
So far, we've built a powerful, immediate and highly efficient platform for shops to handle payments with no transaction fees or cards in sight.
Giving your local cafe the ability to get paid in seconds, with no transaction fees while finding out what you've bought before at a glance to help them drive more sales.
Core to our mission is one principle. We have to add value to earn our revenue. With this in mind, we've got rid of transaction fees.
Whereas every other payment platform since the dawn of time have taxed their customers when they get paid. We generate our revenue through a subscription, forcing us to build the best product we can, to ensure our customers love using Trilo, and expand their product use.

The RoleWe're building the future of how we shop. We're building the platform for Independents to soar. We have big plans to grow through the UK, Europe and become the way the world shops and lives. In 5 years the payments world we know today will no longer exist , in 10 years the way we shop and live will have been transformed. We will be the driving force here, taking on the card schemes and status quo.
Trilo is one of the driving factors for this change, and to do this right we need to find the best people around to grow Trilo, build relationships with our customers and sell to our merchants.
This will be the first Sales hire in the team, and you'll be crucial in leading Trilo into the future. We are not raising any more funding from VCs , so every penny we secure from growth secures Trilo's future. We are building an enduring and powerful business that does not succumb to the whims of the market.
You work closely with our founder, Hamish, to build and execute our sales strategy.
You will generate the first £1 Million ARR for Trilo.
You'll be working with a design lead team who put customers first , ensuring they have the best experience possible.
You'll develop our presence throughout our the UK, dominating our target geographies and verticals, establishing a base from which we'll grow.
What you'll be doingThis role is flexible, but not fully remote . There will be a lot of time together, in the Hub, out on the street, and everywhere in between.
You will generate the first £1 Million ARR for Trilo.
You will execute our sales strategy through phone, social, in-person sales and everything in between. This role does require travel.
You will iterate on and develop our sales and marketing resources to make sure we have everything ready when a challenge appears.
You will develop and pioneer innovative sales and business development strategies.
You will build relationships with hundreds of customers, acquiring and supporting their retention and growing their usage of Trilo throughout their team.
Sales isn't just about the acquisition; it's also supporting customer's growth as they develop with Trilo
You will build and maintain an immaculate sales pipeline with all the needed data points to grow the sales team further when ready.
You will establish the core philosophies of sales at Trilo, bringing with you learnings from previous roles to set Trilo on the right course to grow efficiently.
You will build relationships with partners to grow faster and ensure Trilo's sales process is not a 1 in 1 out game .
What's requiredExperience : Bring 3+ years of experience in Sales and Business Development Roles at a fast-paced SaaS startup (Required)
Experience with SMB and In-Person sales is desired.
Experience with value-add sales is also a plus.
