The role

We are seeking a commercially savvy and analytically driven Sales Intelligence Managing Consultant / Senior Managing Consultant to support our growing base of CDMO and CRO clients. This role focuses on leveraging our BI platform and consulting capabilities to deliver high-impact sales and market intelligence, helping clients identify commercial opportunities, streamline business development efforts, and maximize ROI on their go-to-market strategies.

You will play a critical role in working with our strategic account managers, pre-sales solutions and the broader consulting team to build and deliver pipeline for our Sales Intelligence solution. You'll work with the internal team to inform our own customer engagement strategies with deep market insight and analytics

What you'll be doing

  • Client-Facing Strategy & Delivery
  • Partner with commercial, BD, and strategic operations teams at CDMO and CRO organizations to understand their goals and deliver tailored intelligence solutions.
  • Translate complex market and pipeline data into actionable insights that support lead targeting, customer segmentation, partnership development, and trial site selection strategies.
  • Understand and advise on forecasting models, competitor insights and have deep industry relationships and knowledge of CRO/CDMO and suppliers
  • Deliver executive-level presentations, workshops, and advisory engagements that align our BI capabilities with client revenue and development objectives.
  • Internal Enablement & Market Insights
  • Equip our own sales and customer success teams with robust analysis to improve targeting in the CDMO/CRO space.
  • Monitor trends across therapeutic areas, sponsors, trial volume, site performance, and regulatory activity to continuously refine strategic priorities.
  • Solution Innovation & Product Feedback
  • Work cross-functionally with Product and Data teams to refine existing BI offerings and propose enhancements based on client use cases.
  • Design and pilot custom dashboard views or insight packages tailored to industry-specific needs (e.g., sponsor outreach, trial feasibility, site recruitment).
  • Thought Leadership & Industry Engagement
  • Represent GlobalData Healthcare at industry events, conferences, and webinars as a subject matter expert in sales intelligence and commercial strategy for life sciences.
  • Publish and present thought pieces, best practices, and use cases that demonstrate the value of data-driven decision-making in the pharma/CRO sector.

What we're looking for

  • Extensive proven experience in sales strategy, business development, commercial operations, or BI consulting within the CDMO or CRO industries.
  • Excellent business development acumen and ability, but with demonstrable experience in project and client delivery.
  • Deep familiarity with drug development processes, clinical trials, and the commercial dynamics of the life sciences value chain.
  • Strong understanding of CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and analytics frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven experience managing external client relationships and delivering strategic recommendations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PhD) a plus.
