What you'll doBuild your own business by securing new IT solutions sales for our partners (examples: Microsoft, HPE, Cisco, Dell) across the UK. As you establish yourself, you'll focus more on existing relationships, selling more products into fewer clients. It's like running your own business, with control over earnings and development.
You will join the Softcat Sales Development Programme, designed to equip you with everything you need to become successful and to support you on your journey to becoming an established Account Manager.
Responsibilities- Research potential customers to shape and build new business
- Grow new business through effective communication, including cold calling, meetings and email outreach
- Work towards KPIs through market understanding, relationship building and networking
- Provide account management to support customers' technology strategy, implementation and future requirements
- Collaborate with sales, cross-functional teams and external partners to develop a rich customer experience
- Passion for sales and willingness to learn and develop
- Keen entrepreneurial flare and desire to build a client base from scratch
- Motivated self-starter, quick learner, highly organised
- Enthusiasm to learn about new and emerging technologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build solid relationships internally and with potential new clients
