We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join our partner as a Sales Engineer. They're a manufacturer of key components for the offshore oil & gas and wind energy infrastructure projects. In this role you will be responsible for increasing the revenue for Marine and Offshore Products.

This organization manufactures and supplies fixed and floating fenders for ports, harbours, naval projects, ship to ship transfers and rubber engineering products for the installation and protection of offshore jackets for the oil, gas and wind energy business sectors. They offer safe, reliable, cost-effective solutions that help reduce the risks associated with offshore platform installation and the protection of quay structures and berthing vessels.

You'll take care of sales prospects and business development leads as well as existing clients. Taking ownership of project tenders and working with design and project management teams to meet customer requirements and commercial conditions. To excel in this role, you will need to develop a good technical understanding of the products, their features and applications as well as maintaining relationships with customer key decision makers.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Regional Head who is based in the Netherlands.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential customers within the target business sectors;
  • Actively seeking out new sales leads through calling, networking, social media, and attending exhibitions or conferences;
  • Profile and establish connections with influential decision makers within the target business sectors;
  • Conduct market research to identify selling opportunities and evaluate customer needs in different European markets;
  • Meeting potential clients, prepare and deliver presentations on products and services that suit the customer's needs and budget;
  • Working in conjunction with the design and management team prepare cost calculations and techno-commercial proposals;
  • Negotiating terms of sales and agreements with customers and ensuring timely delivery of orders;
  • Maintain, grow, and provide support for existing customers;
  • Provide product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests;
  • Keeping up to date with the latest trends, products, and regulations in the industry;
  • Gathering feedback from customers or prospects and sharing it with internal teams for product development or improvement;
  • Providing after-sales support and handling customer complaints.
