Sales Engineer

We're looking for a Sales Engineer to join a pioneering marine technology company that specialises in innovative decarbonisation solutions for the maritime industry. This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the crossroads of technical expertise and commercial acumen within a cutting-edge, fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with the sales and technical teams to develop and execute strategies that grow the business globally. This role covers a range of responsibilities including market assessment, lead generation, client engagement, sales execution, and ongoing customer relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess market opportunities and position products and services effectively, targeting the right territories and customers.
• Develop and implement business development strategies to generate new leads and convert prospects into clients.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals and supporting post-sale activities.
• Collaborate with appointed sales agents as an extension of the internal sales team.
• Maintain accurate records and update the CRM system with all relevant customer and prospect information.
• Work with marketing and PR teams to support promotional activities, press releases, and events.
• Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
• Coordinate with web developers and designers to keep marketing materials and the website up to date.
• Engage with technical and commercial colleagues to deepen product knowledge and provide authoritative support to clients.

You will have a bachelor's degree in engineering, marine technology, or a related discipline, along with proven experience in the commercial marine industry or a closely related sector. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and proactive in developing new business opportunities, with a genuine passion for marine sustainability and decarbonisation technologies. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
