ResponsibilitiesThe Solutions Engineering team serves as the primary technical resource and internal advocate for all Customers at HashiCorp. Through consultative engagement, we identify our Customers' challenges and business requirements, leveraging our product expertise to propose solutions that meet their needs. As trusted technical advisors, we work closely with our Customers to help them achieve their target outcomes and realize the full value of the HashiCorp solutions they've implemented.
What you'll do (responsibilities)
As the AVP of Solutions Engineering for EMEA, you will be responsible for building, leading, and developing a high-performing organization of Solutions Engineers and technical leadership across the region. This is a senior management role with a broad remit to ensure the technical health and growth of the EMEA business.
- Regional Strategy and Growth: Lead the technical GTM strategy across various regional SE teams to achieve revenue growth, renewal targets, and pipeline development goals in partnership with sales leadership.
- Customer Lifecycle Ownership: Own the technical customer journey, ensuring expert engagement during "moments that matter," either directly or by enabling partnering organizations to provide maximum value.
- Operational Excellence: Deploy a data-driven, systems thinking approach to continuously improve business processes, including hiring, technical pre-sales engagements, GTM assets, and our demo/workshop infrastructure.
- Market Leadership: Provide thought leadership on market trends and HashiCorp's value proposition. Communicate regional technical priorities and trends effectively to internal stakeholders, including sales, product management, and marketing.
- Team Development and Culture: Nurture and support team members in advancing their careers and abilities, ensuring strong talent retention, while actively managing regional hiring needs to scale the organization.
- Strategic Influence: Influence strategic decisions across the EMEA organization, aligning technical strategy with overall company goals.
- Required education: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred education: Master's Degree
- Required technical and professional expertise: Accomplished Leadership: 10+ years in a Technical Pre-Sales or Sales Engineering Management role, or equivalent experience.
- Scale Management: Proven experience in managing geo-diverse teams; Third-line leadership experience is highly preferred, having managed organizations of 100+ people.
- Technical Domain Expertise: Technical leadership or deep understanding in at least one of HashiCorp's primary influence areas: Infrastructure Lifecycle Management or Security Lifecycle Management.
- Business Acumen: Strong strategic thinking, demonstrated business acumen, and a successful track record of defining and executing strategic projects that significantly impacted company performance.
- GTM Experience: Previous experience operating in a SaaS environment with a complex direct and indirect GTM model.
- Cultural Fit: Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, results-driven, and continuous improvement culture. Experienced and strong supporter of DevOps methodologies.
- Preferred technical and professional experience: Hiring manager and Recruiter should collaborate to create the relevant verbiage.
