An established engineering business is seeking aSales Administrator to support its internal sales and operational functions. This is a key office-based role, working closely with sales, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth order processing and excellent customer support.
The Role
You'll play a central part in coordinating internal sales activity and day-to-day administrative operations, acting as a link between customers, suppliers, and internal departments. This role suits someone who enjoys a varied workload and thrives in a structured, fast-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and processing sales quotations, orders, production documentation, and invoices
- Raising purchase orders for stocked items and consumables
- Coordinating import and export bookings, including relevant documentation
- Supporting internal sales and operations teams with administrative tasks
- Providing professional customer support via phone and email
About You
- Previous experience in a sales administration or production office role, ideally within engineering or manufacturing
- Confident using MS Office; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach
- Highly organised, proactive, and accountable for your workload
- Friendly, approachable, and adaptable to new processes and ideas
