The Salaried GP Role - Castle Surgery is seeking a motivated, committed, and forward-thinking Salaried GP to join our friendly, multidisciplinary team. Located in the heart of Neath Town Centre, this is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment with an established patient list of 9,921. The role includes a potential future partnership for the right candidate.
Main duties of the jobMain Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality primary care services to registered and temporary patients
- Conduct 28 consultations per day (face-to-face and telephone)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Prescribe in line with the practice formulary
- Support disease prevention and long-term condition management
- Offer leadership and clinical input to the wider team
- Mentor or support junior staff, physicians associates and medical students from Swansea University.
- Benefit from streamlined workflow admin responsible only for your own test results and letters
- Minimal medication queries handled by the pharmacy team
- Home visits required very occasionally, when Advanced Paramedic Practitioner is unavailable
- Attend clinical meetings
- Promote QI projects
- Salary: Competitive and negotiable

Areas of Specialist Interest (Desirable but Not Essential)- Minor surgery
- Becoming a GP trainer for registrars
- Participating in GMS collaborative cluster meetings
- Fully registered and qualified with the General Medical Council
