We are seeking an enthusiasticand motivated Salaried GP who qualifies under the ARRS scheme(newly qualified within the last two years and without a substantivepost). If you would like clarification on eligibility, please do get in touch.

Kenyon Medical Centres arelooking for a newly qualified GP on a 12-month fixed term salaried contractworking 4-6 sessions per week.
This post is suitable for fullyqualified GPs only Applications from training doctors or applicantswithout full GP registration will not be considered.
Main duties of the jobThe GP will undertake a varietyof duties governed by the GMS contract and objectives of Enhanced services,including:
- Face to Face consultations
- Telephone consultations
- Triage calls
- AccuRx
- Home visits
- Care Home ward rounds
- Checking and signing repeatprescriptions
- Clinical administration
- Dealing with queries, paperworkand correspondence as required
- Assessing, diagnosing, andmanaging patients appropriately

Job responsibilitiesClinical and administrativeresponsibilities:
- Make professional, autonomous decisions inrelation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from otherhealth care workers within the organisation.
- Screen patients for disease risk factors andearly signs of illness
- Cover all the clinical management of thepatients in surgery as appropriate including initiating investigations,reviewing results, making referrals to secondary care or to other providers asappropriate.
- Develop care and treatment plans in consultationwith patients
- Assessing the health care needs of patients withundifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- Check, read and interpret pathological resultsfor patients
- Ensure appropriate follow-up of patients
- Record clear and contemporaneous computerisedconsultation notes to agreed standards.
- Participate in clinical audits, and learningevent analysis and practice meetings.
- Ensure that practice clinical database isupdated promptly and accurately with information relating to patient records asrequired for clinical accuracy and for practice recording requirements underQOF and enhanced services.
- Appropriate use of coding.
- Compile and issue acute and repeatprescriptions.
- Prescribe appropriately and in accordance withthe Practice prescribing formulary, NICE guidance and Good Prescribing Practice
- Participate in team meetings.
- Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice and entry and the GP Register (Certificate of completion date must be within 2 years and not having held a substantive post before)
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice/Certificate of Confirming Eligibility for General Practice Registration (CEGPR) or equivalent

- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Experience of NHS General Practice and primary care
- Experience of using electronic clinical patient records EMIS
- Experience of medicines management
- Experience of QOF and clinical audit
- Knowledge of health needs of the Primary Care Network population
