Braemar Medical is currently working with one of our valued GP surgery clients to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Salaried General Practitioner to join their friendly and supportive team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a GP looking for a well-supported role within a patient-focused practice, with the opportunity to deliver high-quality clinical care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
The successful candidate will work 4 sessions across 2 days per week, providing care to a diverse patient population through a mixture of face-to-face consultations, telephone consultations and online services.

Our client is a well-established and patient-focused GP surgery serving a diverse local population.
The practice has a friendly and committed multidisciplinary team consisting of GPs, nurses, pharmacists, administrators and other healthcare professionals.
The practice places a strong emphasis on reducing unnecessary administrative workload for GPs, using effective administrative support and modern IT systems to allow clinicians to focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
The practice also supports professional development and encourages clinicians to develop their clinical and non-clinical interests.
The RoleAs a Salaried GP, you will work autonomously while collaborating closely with the wider practice team to provide safe, effective and patient-centred care.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality medical care to the practice population.
- Conduct face-to-face GP consultations.
- Conduct telephone consultations.
- Undertake online consultations and e-consultations.
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Provide effective long-term condition management.
- Prescribe safely in accordance with local and national guidance.
- Process referrals and other clinical administration in a timely manner.
- Review and authorise repeat prescription requests.
- Participate in telephone triage and Duty Doctor responsibilities where required.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records.
- Use appropriate clinical coding.
- Provide continuity of care for patients where appropriate.
- Undertake home visits when clinically required.
- Attend and contribute to practice meetings.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to clinical governance and patient safety.
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in the review of significant and near-miss events where required.
- Support the education and development of trainee doctors and other healthcare professionals where appropriate.
- Maintain a commitment to continuing professional development.
- The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Adhere to practice protocols, policies and clinical guidelines.
- Work within relevant NHS and GMC standards.
- Participate in clinical governance activities.
- Contribute to audits and quality improvement projects.
- Maintain appropriate professional development.
- Complete appraisal and revalidation requirements.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the practice.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve patient outcomes.
- Fully qualified General Practitioner.
- Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practise.
- Inclusion on the NHS England National Performers List.
- Eligible to practise independently within UK General Practice.
- Qualified GP with an MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- Not subject to suspension under Section 41A of the Medical Act 1983.
- Clear DBS or willingness to obtain one.
- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Previous exerience working within UK General Practice.
- Experience with QOF and Enhanced Services.
- Experience with clinical audit and quality improvement.
- Experience supporting GP trainees or other healthcare professionals.
- Interest in developing a specialist clinical interest.
- Experience using electronic clinical record systems.
