Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiasticand committed GP to join the GP partners and our team.
The Practice has a total of 5.75 WTEs GPs & 1.25 WTE ANPs
The CCG hasimplemented a Home Visiting Service which has reduced the visiting workload.
Main duties of the job The post-holder will practice in accordance with accepted goodmedical practice and the various clinical policies of the Service, to include:
In accordance with the session rota,as agreed, the post-holder will be available to undertake a variety of dutiesincluding surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visitingpatients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with tasks,queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
Making professional, autonomousdecisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referredfrom other health care workers within the organisation or externalorganisations
Admitting and discharging patients toand from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate
Recordingclear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
Prescribing in accordance with theaccepted prescribing formulary whenever this is clinically appropriate
About us Over recent years, we have attracted several newly qualified GPs, andso have evolved into a team that provides a supportive working and educationalenvironment with one sessionper week (adjusted pro-rata) ring fenced for CPD.
New Ollerton is in a semi-rural location on the edge of SherwoodForest, North Nottinghamshire. (Sherwood Center Parcs lies just outside thepractice area.) Good road links offer excellent accessibility to Nottingham,Sheffield, Lincoln and the Peak District.
We are willing toconsider full time or part time applications as part of a win-win package and weare willing to wait for the right candidate. The position is for a fixed term but will be reviewed after one year for potentialpermanent position.
Informal visits are welcome.

Middleton Lodge provides GMS services to our population of 13,000patients in New Ollerton, a semi-rural location on the edge of Sherwood Forest,North Nottinghamshire.
Overrecent years, we have attracted several newly qualified GPs, and so haveevolved into a young team that provides a supportive working and educationalenvironment.
ThePractice has a total of 5.75 WTEs GPs and 1.25 WTE ANPs.
Aspart of our contract, we are open 5 days a week, from 8am to 6pm. We serve arelatively mixed population in New Ollerton and surrounding villages.
Weare also a high-achieving QOF practice, closely involved in local GP-ledcommissioning, with mostly paperless administration utilising SystmOne clinicalsystem.
Weare looking for a GP who is motivated, independent, and interested in providinghigh quality clinical services to our patients.
KeyClinical Responsibilities:
Thepost-holder will practice in accordance with accepted good medical practice andthe various clinical policies of the Service, to include:
Inaccordance with the session rota, as agreed, the post-holder will be availableto undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephoneconsultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signingrepeat prescriptions and dealing with tasks, queries, paperwork andcorrespondence in a timely fashion
Makingprofessional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whetherself-referred or referred from other health care workers within theorganisation or external organisations
Assessingthe health needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
Screeningpatients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
Contributingto QOF requirements and recording data appropriately
Inconsultation with patients and in line with current practice disease managementprotocols, developing care plans for health related illnesses
Admittingand discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other careproviders as appropriate
Recordingclear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
Collectingdata for audit purposes and contributing to the Practice audit programme asrequired
Compilingand issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions
Prescribingin accordance with the accepted prescribing formulary whenever this isclinically appropriate
Takea lead role in some aspects of the clinical work within the team, for example:co-ordinating aspects of governance, QOF, enhanced services, CPD and keepingclinical protocols up to date
Ingeneral the post holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties andresponsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, as set byRoyal College of General Practitioners, General Medical Council, all otherRoyal colleges and councils applicable to the staff within the practice,Department of Health, NHS England, PCO and all other regulatory and standardsetting organisations.

Besupportive of any complaints policy and procedure to ensure properinvestigation and appropriate follow-up action in the event of a complainingbeing made about any aspect of the service provided or any personal provider ofthe service
