We are looking to recruit a GP finishing, for 5-6 sessions per week over 3 days. You would be joining a supportive, high-performing, and friendly team who are passionate about delivering modern, efficient primary care while maintaining the traditional values of general practice. We serve a practice population of c6500 patients.
We have a low home visit rate. We have 3 GP Trainers on site, and we regularly host F2 and ST trainees. We embrace new technologies and innovations to support accessible, high-quality care.
Main duties of the jobProvide high-quality patient care
Conduct surgery, telephone, and video consultations, plus occasional home visits
Liaise with colleagues and external providers to ensure seamless care
Investigate and refer patients appropriately, in line with guidance
Review results and correspondence promptly
Provide cover for colleagues when required
Collect and review data for audit and QOF purposes
Maintain excellent communication with patients and carers
Attend clinical, governance, and educational meetings
Work collaboratively and effectively within the team
Manage your own workload and resources effectively
Attend required training events and feedback sessions
Report and follow up on significant incidents
About usWaterfield House is a thriving teaching practice in Pembury, West Kentwith c.6500 patients. The team comprises 5 GPs (4 of whom are partners), apractice and assistant practice manager, a well-established nursing and HCAteam, and a large PCN team including Musculoskeletal Practitioners, Clinicalpharmacists, pharmacy technicians, paramedic practitioners, mental healthpractitioner, and mental health navigators, all supported by a fantasticadministrative and care navigation team which is led by our very capablemanagers. We also have GP Registrars and/or Foundation Years students.
Job responsibilitiesA Salaried GP works as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for theprovision of medical services to the practice population, delivering anexcellent standard of clinical care while complying with the contract.
Furthermore, the post-holder willadhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to theeffective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining apositive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
The role is to support, mentor, andsupervise other healthcare professionals within the organisation and be anintegral part of the general practice team.
